I’m Ankit Mishra. Here is a short summary of how it all started.

I was born in Ulhasnagar, spent my early years in Mumbai, and was raised in Dombivli, with roots in Kashi (Varanasi). I’ve always been curious about how things work, where they come from, and how they evolve.

Childhood was cool a lot of sports. I still remember the feeling of the last day of school exams, knowing summer break was here and partying on the bus ride home. I used to wait for summer vacation to get full freedom just to play outside and spend hours sitting on the computer.

Being on the computer helped feed my childhood curiosity. I mostly spent my time on the internet exploring random websites. I used to read a lot on the Encyclopedia Britannica website about the Solar System, great inventors, and World Wars I & II. I actually still have the PowerPoint presentations I made on these topics when I was 8 or 9 years old. And of course, games were always a crazy part of childhood.

Like most kids, family, relatives, and friends often asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wanted to be a scientist.

I was fascinated by the idea of becoming a scientist. But later on, when I turned 11, 12, 13 years old, In school I became an average student in terms of scoring marks. I had this huge misconception that to be a scientist, you had to be an academic topper right from childhood. There was no one around to guide me or tell me otherwise. I was just a kid, so it’s okay that I believed that, but it definitely changed my trajectory.

Since I was already passionate about computers, around age 13, I decided I was going to be a software engineer. I naturally gravitated toward that path, and later on after few year I went on to pursue a Polytechnic diploma in Computer Science Engineering.

During my third year, an industrial internship introduced me to Machine Learning, and I became absolutely obsessed. This was 15 months before the GPT-3.5 AI boom, but I decided right then that I would dedicate my next decade to this field. That conviction led me to pursue a Bachelor of Technology in AI from the University of Mumbai. This journey eventually evolved into what I do today: working as an AI Engineer.

Alongside tech, I’ve always been drawn to history not just the events, but how people thought and how everything we see today was built on what came before. It gives me a broader perspective and helps me think in multiple dimensions. Check out my articles and notebooks here.

I also really value quiet.
Late at night, when the world slows down, I often step outside. It helps me think clearly.

Right now, I'm just trying to get better at things. I have some aspirations, and I'm walking and running toward them according to my own plans.

In a way, all this connects : where I come from, what I build, and how I think.

I’m still figuring things out. Still building. Still moving forward.

What a lot of people don't know about me is that my Nani (maternal grandmother) used to call me 'Lucky', and my paternal grandfather's pen surname as a writer was 'Pathik' (meaning traveler). I like the idea of carrying both together as Lucky Pathik.
